Yes. The training is entirely online, with live cohort learning and guided practice.

Live cohort learning, video lessons, written lessons, paired and independent supervised practice, case study assessment, mentoring and business guidance.

The course totals 300 hours over six months, so plan for around 10 to 12 hours a week. You can work through the self-paced material at whatever rhythm suits you, alongside the scheduled live calls.

This training is designed for self-workers, therapists, coaches, facilitators, retreat leaders, non-professionals and anyone drawn to people work. Whether you’re beginning your personal journey inward or expanding an existing professional practice, this course equips you to understand yourself, lead one-to-one sessions, and guide groups and retreats with confidence and care.

“Somatic” means “of the body”. Somatic therapy works with physical sensation alongside thoughts and emotions, so healing and growth are felt in the body as well as understood in the mind. In SOS, we use the body to reach the subconscious patterns that keep us stuck, opening the way to a more authentic, free and purpose-led life.

No. While rooted in psychotherapeutic technique, this training is for everyone. That includes non-professionals who want to understand themselves, and coaches, healers, space-holders and facilitators who want to add trauma-informed depth to their work. Some participants take the course for their own personal growth, while others step into facilitation professionally.

Yes. When you complete the training and its requirements, you’ll receive a 300-hour Certificate in Psychotherapy-Informed Somatic Practice (IPHM-accredited). This certifies non-medical, non-diagnostic, talk-based therapeutic support.

You’ll be supported through live supervision calls, practice labs, integration circles, review calls and mentoring. Alongside the core modules, you’ll have access to a peer community where you can share experiences, ask questions and receive ongoing feedback. We require you to attend at least one personal therapy session per month throughout the training, with a therapist and modality of your choice.

Live masterclasses and practice labs take place twice a month. Weekly integration circles and support calls run at set times. Every session is recorded, so you can catch up if you can’t attend live.

In-person graduation locations are announced before each cohort begins. Not every cohort offers an in-person graduation, and none require one. An online graduation is always available.

The training runs for six months. Everyone learns at a different pace, so you’ll have an additional three months after the training to complete assignments and certification requirements. Extensions beyond that are available for a fee of $247.
